Below are a few more details about the social activities we run and the projects. If you have any feedback on the activities to help describe them to others then please let us know.
“Coffee at the Palm House Café is an excellent way to meet new people in a lovely relaxed and friendly environment. It’s a good place to have a chat, talk through problems, catch up on what’s happening on the Social Programme, share experiences of activities and any new ideas for the future” We would be pleased to see you….and the coffee’s pretty good too!
Also Friday Coffee Group at Cafe 123 on the Esplanade – check the programme for dates.
Ten Pin Bowling
This is a great social event for first time bowlers and the more experienced. It happens straight after the coffee group so many people come to coffee and then come on to the bowling. If you just want to come and watch that is okay – you may want to play in the future.
An outdoor gym comprising 21 pieces of eqiupment, located at 5 different stations in the Lodmoor Country park. A fun and easy way to keep fit in the fresh air and without the expense of a gym membership! If this is not on the programme and you would like to go please let us know.
Linking in with local wildlife walks – with the RSPB at Radipole lake for a gentle stroll and longer walks with Bob Ford – ask us for more information.
Try boxing for fitness and fun at Weymouth Amateur Boxing Club with ‘Fightback Mental Health’ sessions on Monday mornings – see programme or contact us if you would like to go with someone to start.
Young Persons Group
A friendly, fun group for young people under 25 – meets weekly for social activities, independent group with a peer leader and staff support (CURRENTLY WAITING LIST)
