Wellbeing Weymouth & Portland is the website for Weymouth & Portland Community Resource Team.
Due to the current situation regarding Covid-19, staff from the Community Resource Team will be following Government instruction and working from home.
Stay at home to stop coronavirus spreading
Everyone must stay at home to help stop the spread of coronavirus.
This includes people of all ages – even if you do not have any symptoms or other health conditions.
You can only leave your home:
- to shop for basic essentials – only when you really need to
- to do one form of exercise a day – such as a run, walk or cycle, alone or with other people you live with
- for any medical need – for example, to visit a pharmacy or deliver essential supplies to a vulnerable person
- to travel to and from work – but only where this is absolutely necessary
What to do if you have coronavirus symptoms
Continue to stay at home if you have either:
- a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
- a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
To protect others, do not go to places like a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Stay at home.
Use the 111 online coronavirus service to find out what to do.

The Community Resource Team is part of Weymouth & Portland Community Mental Health Team. If you are registered with the Community Mental Health Team we can work with you to assess your needs and facilitate attendance at a wide range of social, vocational or educational activities based on your individual need, enabling you to access community resources which may aid recovery. This may include taking up hobbies and interests, meeting new people, sports, education, training, the arts, cultural or spiritual links, volunteering or finding and maintaining employment.
By aiming to focus our work on you as an individual, we seek to empower and enable you on your Recovery journey, and help improve your quality of life. For further information please have a look at the website and if you have any comments, questions, or ideas of activities you would like to see included, then please do get in touch.
If you would like to meet with one of our team to see what we can offer you, we will need a referral from your care coordinator or mental health keyworker at the Community Mental Health Team.
Once we have received a referral , one of the team will contact you to arrange to meet with you to discuss how the Community Resource Team can meet your individual needs.
